HCLabs, a provider of software to support the training and development of deskless workforce is pleased to share the results of a focus group call reviewing RollCall™ and its functionality with a focus group comprised of global customers focused on enhancing learning and development activities.
On July 11, 2024, more than 15 global customers from multiple industries including shipping, telecommunications, manufacturing, transportation, medical devices, met to focus on improving the training experience of the deskless workforce within their organizations. The customers reviewed the functionality of RollCall with an existing HCLabs RollCall customer, an international energy distribution organization, leading the call. The demonstration and discussion covered the functionality of RollCall, specific use-cases for it, and implementation expectations. During the discussion, specific functionalities were highlighted in response to the focus group’s questions.
- Is RollCall capable of supporting ad hoc classes as well as scheduled classes? Yes. RollCall does not require that classes be scheduled ahead of time, only that the course exist in the catalog.
- Does RollCall record attendance as a completion? Yes, if it is configured to do so. RollCall can also record an alternate status, which can be defined during implementation.
- Can RollCall be implemented in a validated environment? Yes, we have validated customers. We support their requirements by providing a bi-annual update schedule and validated customers opt-in to the updates, rather than receiving them automatically.
- Does RollCall work with different badge technologies? RollCall has been implemented with magnetic, RFID and barcode badge technologies.
- Is there a limit to the number of instructors who can use RollCall? There is no limit to the number of instructors, supervisors or trainers who can use RollCall. The customer determines the access level.
- Is the integration between the LMS and RollCall seamless? Yes, the process is seamless and there is no need for involvement from your technology team or your administrative team.
